Why I read this book: Hello…..SHIFTERS. Is that not a good enough reason, I think it is.

I love shifter stories, they make me a happy girl. So I jumped at the chance to review this book. What I like even more than shifter stories are stories where one of the MCs is “straight” only to realize, later that “hey I am not so straight after all.” Put the two together and I am hooked.

Brian banned from his pack, disowned by his parents, takes off with nothing more than the clothes he is wearing and his truck, wanting to put some distance between him and the people who turned their back on him. Too bad his truck decided to break down. Enter hot cop Marcus, our so-called “straight werewolf.” Marcus who swears he is straight, so how can his Mate be a man?

Marcus fights it, turns his back on his Mate saying no way he can be with a man. He wants pups and no way he can have that with a male Mate. Right? Yet he just can’t fight the pull he has to Brian.
I don’t normally like insta-love stories, but for shifter books with True Mates I make the exception. Yes it took Marcus a while to get past the fact that Brian is male, but when he finally does, oh the fireworks they create. This book is fun and easy to read. There is no major angst – yes, a bump in the road, but it works so well with the story. Now here is where I knew I was hooked with this story.

Ready…..wait for it…….Marcus has 3 gay brothers. Hello series!!!! The relationship the brothers have is great and you can see how close they are. I look forward very much to reading their stories.

The relationship between Marcus and Brian draws you in from the beginning even when Marcus turns his back on Brian. This author is new to me and I sometimes have a hard time trying different authors, but I am glad I did. I highly enjoyed it and could not wait to start book two. This was just what I needed after the last heavy book I read. So want something fun, light and did I mention HOT? This is it! Seriously read this book!!!!
