Eloreen Moon gives 9/10 pots of gold for “Loving the Astrophysicist” by TN Tarrant (Astrophysicist 2)

Today’s theme is all about Recognizing Genius.  Since anyone who has three doctorates in Astrophysics, Astrobiology, and Geology by the age of twenty-three is a genius in my book, the review of “Loving the Astrophysicist” was a perfect one for this day.

Why I read this:

A big thank you goes to the author for providing a copy to RGR for the purposes of an honest review.  I love reading series.  I love reading anything science related.  I saw this title and RGR requested the first one so I could read this one.  See my review here for Absent-Minded Astrophysicist, book one in the Astrophysicist series published previously.

Liam and Jareth have been married for eight years and realize they want a child. Things do not go very well when they try to adopt through agencies, with terrible accusations thrown at Jareth. After taking time to recover, they proceed with a private adoption, bringing home a beautiful little girl, Carinae. Then things get really ugly, endangering not only Liam’s life, but Carinae’s.

My Thoughts:

It is rare to see a scientist as a main character for a fictional story.  It is even more strange to see an M/M romance with an Astrophysicist.  And since science is near and dear to my heart, I had to read it.  I was glad I did.

I continue to be impressed with the research, and more details of what the good doctor Liam McGregor is working on come to light.  Those details are wonderful.  There is more moving dialog, more to the life they both lead in a scientific research facility, and more character development for the secondary characters as well.  It is eight years after Absent-Minded Astrophysicist and Jareth Manning and Liam McGregor are going strong.  There is another mystery that comes to light as the couple tries to adopt and people are working against them here too.  This story is longer and provides more insight to Liam and Jareth’s loving relationship along with more character and plot development not only for Liam, but Jareth, too.  They are cute, engaging, and you just want to put them into your pocket and take them home.  Will there be another story with them, or a new couple within the research facility?  Or both? Inquiring readers want to know.  With everything, I give this story a go at 9 out of 10 pots of gold.
