Tanja reviews ‘Cabin Boys’ by William Cooper (Published by Stiff Rain Press; April 2, 2014)
Why I read it: Plain curiosity….first be warned, this is a story with brothercest, so if you´re not comfortable with or offended by it, don´t read further. So that being said, I always love to push my boundaries, try something new. Sure I already read scences between brothers or books set in an alternative world. Here, we have a contemporary and I wanted to see how that would play out. Did I regret it? No, absolutely not, although I didn´t get my answers due to the ending of the book.
I would like to thank William Cooper for this eBook copy in return of an honest review.
Aaron has been in love with his brother for years. Unfortunately for Aaron, those feelings haven’t been mutual. Elliot loves his brother, sure, but he’s not in love with Aaron. After a drunken night up at their parents’ cabin in the woods, could things finally be going Aaron’s way?
This was a hot, short story about two brothers who went away, to a cabin, for a weekend together. Aaron is in love with his older brother for years and after both had too much to drink they hav sex. Afterwards Aaron confesses his love to Elliot. His reaction-he takes it rather well but made it clear that nothing would ever come from it, except what happened on that weekend. Now the sex was hot and we get a lot of it, outdoor activities too ;), but why exactly Aaron fell in love with his brother is not explained. I would say it´s more physical attraction and lust than love. The ending of the story was so not expected but it leaves room for a sequel about Aaron-hopefully we do get one :).
Originally I wanted to see, how an author deals with brothercest. The difficulties regarding their own relationship when brothers turn to lovers as well as the reactions from their environment. I did not get my answers with this book but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
