Why I read this book: I loved ‘Designs of Desire’ so when this free short story released yesterday, I couldn’t resist *g*. And yes… that means it is free for everyone. I think you will all agree that it’s a pretty damn awesome price *g*. Plus, this book gets kinkier, and yet if you’ve read my interview with author Tempeste O’Riley, you will know why she is sure that the things she described are possible for James to do, even with his illness 😀

The Cover: Like with “Designs of Desire”, I love the artistic color combination and the way it works with the loving kiss in the background. The beautiful collar that is featured on the cover shows that things aremoving forward, indicating that the BDSM element isincreased as more trust has formed between James and Seth.Also love how the collar reminds me of a wedding ring, as it has a similar meaning in a way.
The Title: Like the cover, the title indicates a stronger BDSM element, yet with the same amount of love and desire – and delivers. 🙂
The Story: THis is a short story that focuses on how much the love and trust has already grown between Seth and James since the last book. James opens himself up to new experiencesand more play, but most importantly for me, it is still undeniable how much Seth cares for him and plans their activities in a way that doesn’t negatively affect James’ health. The way he takes care of his lover and always makes sure it doesn’t get too much for him warms my heart. They belong together and I’m glad they found each other.
I love the contrast between the was James doesn’t want to let the illness affect him at all in public, doesn’t want it to take his control away, but trusts Seth enough to let go and follow his commands when they are alone. Their love is beautiful and their kinky sex is hot as hell and very sensual. The love that is so obvious between the two men makes it even so much more sexier for me. If you liked book on, you can’t mis this short story. Especially considering that I KNOW you want to find out what’s up with that collar 😛 And however small your remaining book budget is, I guarantee you can afford this one 😉
