CELEBRATIONS:
September 26th: Love & Hope Anthology
Our reviewer Aine started an anthology to support her local LGBT community center. The anthology is 100 percent for charity to build a YA LGBT library in the center. Books can be SO important for LGBT youths to realize there is hope for love and acceptance. Aine, Dana and me were involved in the project and we will celebrate the release on September 26th HERE: https://www.facebook.com/events/258535541009712/
There will be games and prizes and it’s for a good cause If you have a blog and can run a promo post on release day or would like an ARC to review that would be amazing. Please contact Áine Massie , Piper Kay or me to get the materials!
September 27th: M/M Romance & LGBT Giveaways group
I started this group, because while there are quite a few groups for promotion, giveaways can go under in all the promos. It is strictly for free books, giveaways and sales. It is not run by Rainbow Gold Reviews, but is a place where authors and reviewers from different blogs come together to share appropriate posts. It seems to be something that works well. We JUST crossed the 2000 members mark and the group is very active. Special SO to Tracy Gee and Erica Pike for keeping the group free of spam and posts that are not appropriate for the group. They are doing an amazing job!
If you want to celebrate crossing the 2000 mark with us, we have a lot of volunteers for prizes, games and chats and it will be a lot of fun. September 30th: Rainbow Gold Reviews Marathon Chat
Our blog has crossed a few milestones as well! We have more than 1,000 followers on Twitter: https://twitter.com/LGBT_Reviews , more than 1,500 likes on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/rainbowgoldreviews and more than 35,000 visits on our blog:https://rainbowgoldreviews.wordpress.com/
To celebrate, we will have a chat HERE: http://tlk.io/rgr
It is outside of Facebook, there is not refreshing problem and even though you cans share images, when we tried it people actually prefered it to Facebook. Now, there is a lot of fun to be had on FB events, it is easy to promote them and images are awesome, but it is super easy to log in to this chat (especially with a Twitter login) and chatting there is a very, pleasently different experience than on FB. We will share a specific time-frame with you shortly, so you know when to be online.
However, there will no specific time-slots for authors. We will make sure someone is always there to chat, beyond that it is drop in/ drop out. You can chat with each other and authors, ask questions and authors are welcome to giveaway stuff if they want.
AWARDS:
Since we had our blog debut in April, six months have passed. We want to look back at all the books we reviewed and will determine our favorites. The books that still hold us captive, have captured our heart. Time gives perspective and we will present you our top choices as well as ask you, the readers, to select one Reader’s Choice. One book from those we reviewed that you want to be recognized, because you LOVED it.
Those books that receive an award, an image specifically designed for this purpose that authors can proudly display with their book, will be the best of the best for us. The Rainbow Gold we have pledged to find for you.
Awards will be given to authors every six months.

AUTHOR PANEL CHATS:
After a break to reorganize the blog, we will continue with new Author Panel Chats in October.
In these panels, we will have several authors who discuss a certain topic either together or back-to-back in a Facebook Event.
Our next panel chat will be about THE IMPORTANCE OF SUPPORTING CHARACTERS. If you are an LGBT author interested in being on the panel or want to write a Guest Post published on the day of the chat to compliment it, please write an Email to rainbowgoldreviews@gmail.com and write your Pen Name and Author Panel Chat in the subject line.
We will post more specific information soon, when we see what works best for the participating authors.
SCAVENGER HUNT:
In October the RGR Scavenger Hunt will go into Round 3. Based on participation, we will go back to letting authors and bloggers hide our RGR icon on their website. We will link to the participating sites and readers can search for our icon and email where they found it on the different sites. Even if readers just try it, chances of winning something are great and there are great websites to explore We will have a Blogger/Author sign-up sheet ready soon and will post more information.
