I would like to thank Annabelle Jacobs for stopping by RGR today to talk about her upcoming book ‘Alliance.’ Lets give a big RGR welcome to Annabelle.
Thank you for having me on your blog today.
I’m here today to tell you about my new release which is coming out on Monday, 17th November–Alliance, the final book in my fantasy trilogy.
Over two hundred years ago, when dragons were hunted for their blood, the King of Torsere offered them sanctuary. In return, the dragons bestowed a magical gift on the King’s people, allowing those born with the mark to become dragon riders and forge a mental connection between dragon and rider.
Torsere is now ruled by King Ryneq, thrust into leadership far too early after the murder of his parents. Nykin, a dragon rider in the king’s army, admires the king from afar but knows a relationship between them is all but impossible.
Their story begins in Capture, with the kingdom of Torsere facing attack from the lowland realms of Athisi and Rodeth. Ryneq’s sister is due to marry the elven prince of Hervath, so that Torsere will come under the protection of the elves’ magic. Before the ceremony can take place the lowland armies ambush them, and Ryneq is taken prisoner. Nykin volunteers for a perilous rescue attempt, risking his life and the life of his dragon, Fimor.
Union focuses more on the relationship between Ryneq and Nykin, as Nykin adjusts to life in the palace. They sail to the elven city of Alel for the wedding that will complete the union between the two realms, but the threat of attack follows them there.
Forced to return to Torsere in Alliance, they must defend against a renewed and far more dangerous foe than they faced before. With the help of the elves, Ryneq and his people prepare to fight, risking everything to defeat the lowland armies once and for all.
King Ryneq and his dragon rider consort, Nykin, return to Torsere to defend the kingdom against the lowland armies already camped along Torsere’s borders. Seran wants the dragons, and with a new witch in his ranks, war is inevitable.
With the elves of Hervath now helping them, Ryneq has a chance at holding Seran at bay. But the witch is using old dark magic, and as Nykin and the dragon riders battle her deadly attack, unexpected betrayal forces Ryneq to make a difficult decision.
Faced with the prospect of losing his kingdom, Ryneq gambles on a plan that could ultimately save Torsere, if they can stay alive long enough to see it through. With Ryneq standing against Seran and his witch, time is of the essence, and Nykin must make a sacrifice to end the war. Only then will Ryneq and Nykin be able to start a life together.
Ryneq poured a goblet of wine and finished off the rest of his food, listening as Selene told Lerran a little more about the history of dragons in Torsere. “If you’ll excuse me.” Ryneq nodded to them both and made his way over to where Nykin talked animatedly with Eldin, gesticulating wildly as he spoke. As Ryneq got close enough to make out their conversation, he wasn’t surprised to hear Nykin describing in vivid detail the treehouses of Alel.
He placed a hand on Nykin’s shoulder, stopping him midsentence. “I’m sure Eldin would appreciate this a lot more after a few hours’ sleep, Nykin.” He squeezed his fingers, pressing the pads deep into Nykin’s firm muscle and trying to convey his meaning. Nykin hesitated for just a moment, but then he was clapping Eldin on the arm and promising to tell him everything in the morning.
“Get some rest while you can, Eldin,” Ryneq said, stepping back as Nykin rose from his seat. “I fear things will not be quiet for long. We’ll reconvene in the morning.”
“I will. Good night, Sire, Nykin.”
Ryneq allowed Nykin to lead the way out of the hall. The soft leather of Nykin’s pants clung to his hips and his ass, accentuating the tight muscle underneath. Ryneq managed to keep his hands to himself until they were out the doors and halfway down the passageway to their rooms, but he soon got tired of waiting. Only the royal quarters were off this passageway, so it was highly unlikely they would be seen. He grabbed Nykin’s arm, spun him around, and had him backed up against the cold stone wall before Nykin had a chance to take another step.
