Why I read this book: I fell in love with Tyler May’s writing when I read the first two books in the Angel of Darkness series. When the opportunity to read another book which was not paranormal came I grabbed it up. I wanted to know if I would enjoy it as much as the other two.
Does love have a cost? Brian Silver is CEO of the world’s largest coffee house chain in the world, Silver Coffee. Growing up in a wealthy family, Silver had it all: money, fame, and any man he wanted, but that was never enough. Silver wants more. After a tragic health event that leaves him vulnerable in life, he realizes that business will not bring him the happiness he needs, and he’ll do anything to find that happiness. Greyson Black is a coffee house barista in one of the Silver Coffee chains in downtown Manhattan. Greyson is finishing school and determined to find the best path for his life. When Brian Silver makes a “surprise” stop at the franchise, he’s more than intrigued by the young, gorgeous Greyson. Silver knows there’s only one thing that he must have now, and he will do whatever it takes to get him. When Silver and Greyson get together, sparks fly. Silver is perfect in Greyson’s eyes, but is love blind? A mysterious stranger is out for Greyson, and the mind games have just begun. Greyson starts to question everything, including Silver’s advances. When Danger is lurking around every corner, no one is safe. Greyson will have to determine if love is worth the danger and excitement. Can attraction be fatal, or will attraction be the saving grace Greyson needs? Will Silver’s secrets ruin them or will someone else have the first shot? Love is blinding, but suspicion is the real killer. Silver & Black is a gay mystery romance. 18+ for gay sexual content, language, and some violence.

Brian Silver is the owner of one of the biggest coffee house chains in the world. He is gorgeous and rich. But, being rich doesn’t mean life’s perfect. Brian has had his share of tragedy, which has made him realize he isn’t truly happy and will do anything in his power to obtain it.
Greyson Black is young and beautiful. He has been dealt a hard life but is determined to make it better for himself. He is almost finished with college and works downtown Manhattan as a coffee house barista for one of the Silver Coffee chains.
One morning, Silver shows up unexpectedly at the coffee house where Greyson works. Having never seen the owner before he had no clue who Silver really was and thought he was just another cocky person with too much money. Once he realizes Silver is indeed the owner he is thrown for a loop. Greyson is unsure of Silver’s mysterious demeanor at first. But he knows that he is extremely attracted to Silver and by the way Silver acts he shares the attraction.
When Greyson finally realizes that some things aren’t what they seem he decides to throw caution to the wind and act on their attraction. Once they do it gets steamy fast. There is lots of romance and sweetness but there is also a lot of raw need. Silver is everything Greyson has ever wanted but is it to good to be true?
When a few unexpected things start popping up it has Greyson questioning his faith and trust in Silver? Will the secrets Silver has ruin their relationship? Will they even have the chance to try to make it work?
This was a great book. It was totally different from the prior books I have read by Tyler May. I loved seeing the passion that both men had for each other. All the characters felt very realistic. Levi who is Greyson’s best friend is a riot. I just loved him. I really hope he gets his own story. I really enjoyed the twist and turns especially towards the end. The author definitely knows how to keep the reader engrossed and wanting more.
If you haven’t had the chance to read any of Tyler May’s books then I highly recommend reading Black and Silver and if you’re a fan of vampires then her Angel of Darkness series is amazing as well.

*****
Tyler May was born and raised in the great state of Michigan, and still happily resides there. She is a stay at home mom to her three beautiful children. Tyler’s passion for reading came later in life when she found a love in romance novels, more specifically the male/male genre. After drawing inspiration from some wonderful authors and encouragement from friends and family; she penned her first full length novel: Angel of Darkness.
Tyler draws inspiration from the simple things in life and will never take that for granted. Since Tyler is a LBGT author, she has three hopes when a reader picks up her book(s): She hopes that her books will teach tolerance and equality. She hopes to convey the truth behind the infamous saying, “love is love.” She hopes that the book is more than a story―that’s it a journey with an important message. Tyler’s favorite quote and something she always has tucked in the back of her mind as she writes her fictions: “Everything you can imagine is real.”―Picasso.
