Reality and perception aren’t always what they seem. Sometimes the greatest hope is found when two hearts find their truth and their home.
When Rory Ó Cuinn, a Sidhe warrior, is sent by the Sidhe Queen’s Council to reestablish the magically enhanced vampire hunters known as Guardians, he doesn’t question his mission.
Lord Lorccán is a rare vampire noble, as he only kills humans who are far more monster than not. When he meets the enigmatic vampire Mistress Anya from the House Millar, he believes he’s found an ally in creating a warrior class to police the vampires and protect the innocent—human and vampire alike.
The two goals bring Rory and Lor together, in more ways than one. But Sidhe nobles
aren’t meant to love the damned and Rory fights against a rising attraction for Lor, just as Lor pushes every one of Rory’s buttons—mostly on purpose.
When they team up, using both their magics and knowledge, to save those that matter most and find possible future Guardians, their predesigned realities and perceptions change and twist. As love, hate, passion, and betrayal collide, the only question left is which emotions the pair will grasp and hold.
Rory is a fae side warrior, knight and noble. He has been sent on a mission to train guardians to fight vampires and protect the humans. He is also to set out and find any potentials that are still alive. In order to get this accomplished he needs to recruit a Croí Nochta vampire to help re-establish the Cosantóir lines, the Guardian lines.
During his search for a Croí Nochta vampire Rory meets Lord Lorccán. Lor is approximately 6’4″, with long vibrant red hair and wears a very sexy leather halter top and a long leather skirt. Overall, Lor is stunning. Rory is instantly attracted to him but well aware he is not human. Lorccán is a Vampire and due to his amazing teal eyes Rory knows he is the Aberration he is looking for.
Rory and Lor form an alliance to search for the potential that is out there somewhere and to protect the humans from the evil vampires that prey upon them. Everything is going well, except for the pull that Rory has towards Lor. All Rory’s life he has been taught on how horrific vampires are. All vampires not just the ones who kill humans. Therefore, it would be outrageous for a Sidhe Noble to fall in love with a vampire. But, the feelings Rory has for Lor are not fading they are only getting stronger as time passes.
Rory begins to believe that maybe Athair and the others faes are wrong, that not all vampires lack a true soul. If this is true can Rory truly give himself over to a vampire? If so what is going to happen when the others find out?
This was a great story of battles. One battle is to save the humans from the viscous vampires. The other is a battle of hearts and the acceptance that things are not always what they have been taught to be. I adored Rory and Lorccán. Their journey to be together was amazing to watch unfold.
Glamour Blade is the first book written by Aine P. Massie that I have had the pleasure of reading. It flows great. The characters are each unique and easy to connect with. The plot is original and includes enough twists and turns that keeps you hooked.
I didn’t realize Glamour Blade was part of a series till after I had read it entirely. I didn’t have any difficulty understanding or feel like I was missing out on any pertinent information from the previous books. That being said it can be read as a standalone but I doubt you will want to stop there. I for one will definitely be reading the other books in the series. I am also hoping that Rory and Lor’s story will continue on as I feel there is more to be told.
If you enjoy a beautiful love story and have a love for vampires and other paranormal beings then I highly recommend reading Glamour Blade by Aine P. Massie
