BOOK TWO of the Bred For Love Series
Percy is pregnant. He is overjoyed, and Prince Edward, his master and owner, is just as happy. Both men are content, and are enjoying the simple life at Hartgrove, Prince Edward’s country estate. There they stay in pre-baby bliss, until the christening of the Cassian Dynasty’s newest princeling approaches. Prince Edward decides to risk King Henry’s wrath, and brings Percy back to the capital to attend his nephew’s christening, putting his and Percy’s unconventional relationship front and center in the media and the court. Greed and betrayal combine to place Percy and their unborn child in danger, and the capital, once a place of power and strength for Prince Edward, becomes a prison. Percy is confronted by the reality of his social status and what exactly it means to be the collared consort of a Cassian blood prince–and how dangerous that place of honor can be.
Caught between the orders of King Henry and the dangers to be found in Court and city, Percy and Edward strive to protect themselves, their love, and their unborn child.
The King’s Command picks up right where The Prince’s Consort ends. Edward and Percy have left the Royal Castle and are now living at Hartgrove. They are happy, falling more in love and excited to have a baby on the way.
Back at the Royal Castle things are still tense, the King is livid that Prince Edward has made Perseus his consort. Even though Edward could care less how the King feels, he is dreading the fact that he has to return to the capital for his nephew’s christening. Edward knows he still has Royal obligations, but there is no way he will go and leave Percy behind even if he is ordered to do so. When Edward and Percy arrive back at the Capital it goes smoothly at first. But that changes quickly. The King is determined to take Percy away. This won’t be an easy task. Edward will protect his mate and unborn child no matter how high the cost.
The mystery is finally revealed as to why the Heritage Breeder’s owner acted so strange when Edward bought Percy. We also get to see more of Reynard in this book. I know there is a good story behind him and I can’t wait to find out what it is.
The more I read the more I love the Bred For Love series. The author once again does a fantastic job ever keeping you hooked from beginning to end. There is so much going on in this book. There is betrayal, greed, suspense, and action. But there is also an amazing love story. I really like how the author ends each book in the series. There isn’t a major cliffhanger but a huge need to continue on.
I highly recommend reading the Bred For Love series by Reella Hawthorne. You won’t be disappointed.

Read my review The Prince’s Consort, book one here:
Revella Hawthorne is the pen name for paranormal romance writer SJ Himes. Taking the name from her fanfiction writing days and the best name for a tree ever, SJ writes as Revella when she’s feeling less than lyrical and wants to explore the rougher, rawer, and wilder side of mm fantasy and romance.
SJ, AKA Revella, is a thirty something crazy woman who just moved halfway across the country to start over, and the only things she took with her are her beloved dog Micah and her WIPs. Her specialty is in gay paranormal and mm (urban) fantasy, and whether she writes under the name SJ or Revella, she does so with the goal of writing the best story she can.
Bred For Love Series currently has three installments, the third to be released on November 10th, 2015. Expect a fourth in Spring of 2016.
Check out her Amazon page ( amazon.com/author/sjhimes ) as SJ Himes for her other work.
