Collars and Cuffs: Book Five

The man who pimped Jeff may be in prison, but Jeff is still living the nightmare, selling himself to men and relying on pills to manage. Then he meets Scott, a young American man who could easily have been where Jeff is now. Scott’s friends extend a helping hand to Jeff, and he grabs it.

Leo and Thomas bring Jeff to stay with Dom Damian Barnett until they can find him someplace more long-term. Still grieving from losing his sub to cancer two years before, Damian agrees to help. But when he glimpses the extent of the damage, Damian wants to do more than offer his guestroom. Jeff is not a submissive, but Damian can see he desperately needs structure in his life. It’s up to Damian to find an answer.

He never expects that what he discovers will change both their lives.

Review

We met Jeff briefly in Someone to keep Me. Jeff is also a victim of Curtis Rogers. The abuse he has suffered at the hands of Curtis has caused him to turn to drugs in order to cope. Even though Curtis is in jail, he is still causing trouble for Jeff. It seems Curtis used his name to lure an innocent young man to Manchester to be part of a prostitution ring and drug running. Luckily for Scott, Curtis wasn’t successful. After sitting at a coffee shop trying explain all this to Scott so he understands, Scott then decides that Jeff needs help too. This is how Jeff ends up at a Damien’s house.  Damien is supposedly is going to take care of him. Jeff knows how this works and how Doms are, but with the help of the pills he took he is going along with it. Thinking can’t be any worse than what he has already been through.

Damien is a Dom from collars and Cuffs. Although he rarely practices anymore. After losing his sub Oliver to cancer two years ago,  Damien has no desire to move on. He is sitting at home one evening, when he receives a call from Leo asking for his help. Damien agrees knowing Leo wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t important. When Leo shows up with Jeff, Damien offers to keep him until they can find more suitable arrangements.

Being around Jeff brings out the nurturing side of Damien. Once he gets to know Jeff a little more, he realizes that he wants to help Jeff heal and become whole again. He understands that Jeff needs structure, but not like in a D/s relationship.   Damien just needs to figure out what exactly that is.

Once a plan is in place, they get into a routine and things seem to be going well. There are some ups and downs as expected, but what Andrew didn’t expect is the attraction he has come to have towards Jeff.

Could Andrew finally be moving on from the death of his sub? Could the feeling be mutual or is Jeff only looking for the structure and security?
KC wells and Parker Williams have done a spectacular job writing Damien’s and Jeff’s story. I love how the authors can get you to connect with the characters on such a personal level. Where your heart breaks and your in tears or where you are laughing right with them. There weren’t many BDSM elements in this book. It was more of love nurture and finding out who you are and what works between the two in the relationship. I have to mention that the ending of this book was beautiful and it had me crying happy tears. Collars and Cuffs has definitely became one of my favorite series and I can’t wait to continue on to see what will come next.

Damien’s Discipline is another great addition to the Collars and Cuffs series. I highly recommend reading the entire series, but this could be read as a standalone if wanted.

AuthorBio

About KC Wells:

Born and raised in the north-west of England, K.C. WELLS always loved writing. Words were important. Full stop. However, when childhood gave way to adulthood, the writing ceased, as life got in the way. K.C. discovered erotic fiction in 2009, when the purchase of a ménage storyline led to the startling discovery that reading about men in love was damn hot. In 2012, arriving at a really low point in life led to the desperate need to do something creative.
An even bigger discovery waited in the wings—writing about men in love was even hotter….
K.C. now writes full-time and is loving every minute of her new career. The laptop still has no idea of what hit it… it only knows that it wants a rest, please. And it now has to get used to the idea that where K.C goes, it goes.
And as for those men in love that she writes about? The list of stories just waiting to be written is getting longer… and longer….
K.C. loves to hear from readers.
