Wendy reviews Orion’s Circle (Sirius Wolves Book 1) by Victoria Sue. Published by Dark Hollows Press, LLC June 29,2015, 232 pages.

orions-circle-coverAccording to legend, when humankind is at its most desperate, the goddess Sirius will send three of the most powerful werewolf shifters ever created to save mankind. However, because they are so powerful, they will need a fourth to complete them, to calm them and help them reach their full potential.

Aden, a young were, has been his pack’s omega ever since, at the age of fifteen, he didn’t shift like everyone else. Caught, reviled, and tortured because of his empathic abilities, he knew on the night he was told to run as sport for the pack hunters that it would end in his death. What he didn’t know, however, was that on the same night he’d also meet the love of his life and a pathway to answers, because Aden is far more than just a pack omega.

What begins as a hunt soon becomes a new adventure as Aden discovers that he has not only one, but three destined mates, and his role as lover is far more than trivial. The fate of all humankind rests upon it.

Why I read this book: I actually won a copy of this book at an author event on Facebook. It has almost all of my favorite tropes, MPreg, MMMM, broken main characters, Shifters and it even has a Goddess. This weeks theme is “Give Thanks” and I am very thankful to this author for this book.

I really couldn’t believe my luck with this book. It has Aden, a character that is all my favorite tropes all wrapped up into one sweet angsty package. He’s been beaten down and lied to, he’s an Omega that is submissive by nature, he has lost everything he holds dear and just wants it all to end because the pain is just too much to bear and then he meets his mates. That’s right, I said mates, as in three mates. He finds a will that I knew he would have and has to dig deep for some strength that I wasn’t sure he did. Oh, and the best thing of all is that he gets preggers. Yet he hasn’t been around “normal” wolves to know how relationships work or to know how to tell lies from truths and that gets him into all kinds of trouble.

His mates are a very special breed of Wolf Shifters. They are the most powerful Shifters ever created but what I discovered in this book was that the strongest ones are also the ones that have the biggest insecurities. These three men who are Aden’s mates need what each man separately and collectively brings to the Circle to thrive. I felt a bond with each one of these men. They are all special and unique in their own way.

The story doesn’t stop just because Aden was rescued and found his mates. It doesn’t stop just because they have finally created the Orion’s Circle, no, things just keep happening and I am still biting my nails about some of the scenes in this story.

The sex is sooo hot, and it’s just a great action packed book. I can’t wait to read the next in the series. That’s another thing that I am thankful for… Their story isn’t over yet, there are more books that follow this one and they’re already out!!!

Victoria Sue… Wrote her first book on a dare from her hubby two years ago and he says he has regretted it every day since. Loves writing about gorgeous boys loving each other the best—especially with either a paranormal or a historical twist. Had a try at writing contemporary but failed spectacularly when it grew four legs and a tail. Loves her wolves! Is an English northern lass but is currently serving twenty to life in Florida—unfortunately, she spends more time chained to her computer than on a beach. Loves to hear from her readers and can be found most days lurking on Facebook.
