Deck the halls with knives, chains, and dangerous children’s toys!
Team Alpha is celebrating the holidays, but a surprise blizzard has snowed them in at Bossman and Papa P’s house, along with a few friends.
Not that Papa P minds. He’ll take any excuse to keep his loved ones close and stuff them full of good food.
It’s not only snow that’s flying through the air, however. Omega counselor Dean and team beta leader Sam may have found more than a little holiday cheer while joining the team’s holiday festivities.
And Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without Bossman and Papa P recounting the joy of their anniversary and the hard times that came before.
This book is best enjoyed if you’ve already listened to the previous Team Alpha stories, as there are plenty of in-jokes, purple sparkly knives, and growing children sprinkled throughout this tale. As always, you can expect some naughty knotty fun, humor not suitable to share with your mother-in-law, and all your favorite characters.
Trigger warning: Graphic violence and mention of human trafficking. HEA definitely included. Intended for listeners 18 and above only. Seriously, would you expect anything less from Susi Hawke and Crista Crown?

My review:
For fans of the A.L.P.H.A. series, this book is great. It brings together all the characters from previous books as well as their multitude of offspring into one place – Papa P and Bossman’s home. On Christmas Eve no less and with a storm bearing down on them. I was new to the series but saw the trigger warning and thought there would be action. There was only mention of significant violence and horrible acts. Now, would I describe a flesh circus to young pups? Probably not, but I understood the elders’ need to protect the young ones – warning them of the dangers outside their door.
There is also a hookup leading to a mating in this story, so hot times. Dean is a counsellor and Sam is the leader of team BETA. By all rights the old curmudgeon and the young omega shouldn’t be compatible. But they are and it just works. Near the end of the story, they find themselves signing up for a new team – this book is a great lead in for a future series.
If you’re up for Christmas shenanigans, knotty times, and adorable pups, this is definitely the book for you.
Colin Darcy narrated the book and I found his narration style a little different than what I’m accustomed to. It felt like he spoke more slowly and this is a book I might have tried to increase the speed on. But it was good and I enjoyed myself.

I’m a total fan of M/PREG Paranormal Romances, first and foremost as a reader. I’m excited to share my own omegaverse(s) with you. What’s not to love about adorable Omegas and the Alpha men who love them? If I’m not writing about men sporting baby bumps, I’m definitely reading about them!
I’m a native of Las Vegas, NV, so I’m pre-wired to love everything weird ~ although I don’t find any kind of love to be weird. I’m a cis woman who’s been happily married to the same lovable lug for 18 years. We have a 16yr old son, well, at least I think we do? Either that, or we have a ghost that eats all our food and uses up all wifi playing xbox while screaming into a headset.
As a new author, it’s been amazing to find the amount of support that I’ve been given from readers and my fellow authors. Feel free to message me, I love to chat with fellow readers. Am I a reader? Heck yeah! In fact, I’m never certain that I can completely trust an author who isn’t a fellow bibliophile.
