(A unique prequel/sequel companion to The Neon Darkness Trilogy, Book 4)
My first thought after reading this book was omg, imma need some time to wrap my head around what I just read. Skot Harris is the King of dark, psychological thrillers!
This book is a companion to The Neon Darkness trilogy. I didn’t even know I had more questions after reading ‘Suddenly Alive’ but turns out that yeah, I did. Once again Skot Harris led me through a dark, deep story in such a way that I didn’t know where we were going until the very end. What a ride! Did I mention that this book was deep and dark? It was also sweet and beautiful and humorous.
I adore all the characters, even the ones who are monstrous. Sometimes on both the outside and the inside, sometimes not so much. Hopefully we won’t ever know people like this in real life so I enjoyed having a peek into the minds and thoughts of his psychotic boys. I was astounded by the rippling effect that the events in the story had.
As with the other reviews, I won’t go into a synopsis. I don’t want to ruin a minute of this book for you by giving spoilers. The writing is flawless, smooth and flowing. Very realistic. There were so many feels. I ugly cried more than once while reading.
