Why I read this book: I’m loving this series.
Cold cases, old enemies, ex-lovers, and vengeful spirits are making life dangerous for psychic medium Simon Kincaide and his boyfriend, homicide detective Vic D’Amato.
The ghosts of Myrtle Beach are restless, trapped by love, secrets, scandals, and spells, keeping Simon busy protecting the living from the unhappy dead. Someone from Vic’s past is out to destroy him and everyone he holds dear, and the high-profile trial of the first case Simon and Vic worked together puts them in the spotlight – and put a target on their backs. As a deadly trap closes around them, can Simon and Vic tie up the loose ends to stop the threat, or will they become the newest ghosts of the Grand Strand?

My Review:
Simon is a psychic medium who sees ghosts. He communicates with ghosts. He helps them pass to the other side. He clears haunted places of their resident spirits so the location can be given back to the living. Vic is a cop. Rational, logical, and also happens to believe in spirits. He lost his career because of this, and he now believes his boyfriend. His boyfriend who has become a civilian consultant for the Myrtle Beach police department.
This time Vic is the target. Someone from his past is out to get him. This coincides with someone from Simon’s past turning back up to wreak havoc in his life. So yeah, a lot going on. Plus ghosts. Lots and lots of ghosts.
Personally, I’m not a huge believer, but these books are just plain fun. I really like Simon and Vic’s dynamic. It just works. The chemistry is there, but so is the love. A love that transcends even the chaos they have to endure to get their man.
Finally, I’ll talk about Kale Williams. I really enjoy his narrations and he suits this series perfectly. I suspect there are more books to come and I’ll be snapping them up.
My Rating:
10/10 Pots of Gold (100% Recommended) – Compares to 5/5 Stars

Morgan Brice is the romance pen name of bestselling author Gail Z. Martin. Morgan writes urban fantasy male/male paranormal romance, with plenty of action, adventure and supernatural thrills to go with the happily ever after. Gail writes epic fantasy and urban fantasy, and together with co-author hubby Larry N. Martin, steampunk and comedic horror, all of which have less romance, more explosions. Characters from her Gail books make frequent appearances in secondary roles in her Morgan books, and vice versa.
On the rare occasions Morgan isn’t writing, she’s either reading, cooking, or spoiling two very pampered dogs.
