Why I read this book: I chose to read this book as I have read the whole series to date and really enjoyed each book. I wanted to read the next book in the series.
Synopsis:
Can two damaged men build a future together from the shattered pieces of their lives?
Gianni Dombruso’s life was altered forever at the age of four, when his parents were murdered and he and his brothers went to live with their grandmother, the irrepressible Nana Dombruso. Now almost thirty, Gianni has spent his life bouncing from relationship to relationship, seeking but never finding the security and stability he so desperately craves.
Alexzander Tillane was one of the biggest rock stars in the world when he walked away from it all in the middle of a concert in 2002. Almost destroyed by fame and the pressure of being in the public eye, Zan retreated to a life of quiet solitude in an effort to heal. But the cure backfired, leaving him with more issues than answers.
Zan knows he can’t give Gianni the stability he’s looking for, not with all his problems. He can’t even imagine why the beautiful younger man would want to get involved with someone so damaged, but the heat between them refuses to be ignored. Giving in to it could be a huge mistake. Or maybe both men might end up right where they belong.

This series is like a drug to me, I simply can’t get enough of it. Belonging is book 8 in the Firsts and Forever series. I devoured this as I did with every other book in the series.
Gianni I thought he was confident, brash and loud… How wrong could I be, he is actually sensitive, sweet and vulnerable. He has lived with his brothers and Nana since being a young child, after his parents were murdered. He arranged with Christian to help his dad Zan a few times a week, getting his shopping, making sure he hasn’t fallen into depression. He really didn’t know what he was getting himself into.
Zan was a big rock star once upon a time until things came to head and he ran, hiding from the world. Nothing prepared him for the sweet Gianni. He falls for him big time, never thinking he will be good enough, he retreats further into his own world.
This book is fantastic, I have laughed a lot, Nana’s antics always make me smile, I have cried, this didn’t surprise me and I was smiling a lot. I do love the fact that this author can put me through every emotion…..
The love story is sweet and tender, there are a lot of bumps in the road for both MC’s to over come as both come with heaps of baggage and need each other to heal fully.
Gianni’s family and family friend play a big part in this story, as alway we learn a little more about each one through out the read.
Overall a terrific read that tugged at my heart strings.
I would highly recommend this whole series. I can’t wait to read Chance’s book next followed by Nico’s…
I still say we all need a Nana, she brightens up my day……
